A national identity card is the most important document. Without this card, you cannot be able to avail of various Government subsidies & benefits. It is the single most complete document as it is used as KYC (Know Your Customer) in banks & financial institutions. Aadhar is a 13 digit unique number that is issued to Indian residents on the fulfillment of certain documents as advised by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India).
Almost everyone from us has heard about the loss of the aadhar card. This is a very painful experience as losing the national identity is just like cutting down your hands and feet.
Keeping in view the issues in mind, UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has made available e aadhar card download option at its portal.
You have to visit this link https://uidai.gov.in/ and from there, you can download eaadhar card from here https://www.eaadhar.download/. The downloaded file would be a PDF file, once you open the file, it will ask for the password. Here the problem arises as you are not aware of what to enter for passwords. Please keep in mind that it is a 08 character long password that will include your name and date of birth's certain characteristics.
Password for this file would be entered as first 04 characters of your name in capital letters and year of your date of birth. For example, if your name is MANOJ KUMAR and your date of birth is 20-01-1989, the password for aadhar card password would be MANO1989. Similarly, if your name is SAL and date of birth is 21 February 1978, then the password would be SAL1978. I hope you understand how to find out the password for your PDF aadhar card.
The reason to password protect the aadhar card password e-file is to avoid security lapses and to avoid denial of service attacks (DOS) and to keep the UIDAI database and website up and running all the time. When you are able to download and open the PDF file, you can take a print out on any normal paper. There is no hard and fast rule from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to have this print out on the laminated sheet. In fact, lamination destroys the bar code and as a result, your card becomes useless.
Aadhar card can be obtained by applying to UIDAI through its numerous aadhar enrollment centre. You will not have to pay any amount on account of fees or what so ever. Please carry supporting documents such as passport, driving license, photo ATM card or voter ID, etc. The UIDAI representative will enter demographic data based on your submitted document. This person will show you all the data on the screen before going to save on UIDAI's database. It is your responsibility to check the entered data thoroughly otherwise you will be the only person who will suffer from problems.
Apart from this, the biometric scan will be taken for all your fingers and Iris eye scan. After completion of all the process, you will be given Enrollment ID in printed form. You can use this ID to track the status of your application. As soon as you find that your application has been approved, you can download aadhar card password file and open this with a password as mentioned above.
